Stormclaw nodded at the poopies and came over to Songpaw.

"Welldone, that was a good find. Maybe you will make a good apprentice"

SHe said picking up the poppies putting them on the ground she would remmeber this spot and come back again. she looked over hearing noise and saw Foxpaw jump out ontol of pebblepaw.

"Hello Foxpaw."

Pebblepaw mewed sadly: "I haven't started training and neithor has Songpaw. He wants to become the med. cat apprentice." Songpaw smiled at his friend.
"We were just talking and i decided to help Stormclaw and maybe become her apprentice." he mewed. Pebblepaw saw her brother smile. She whished he could see and she knew he did too.

_{Foxpaw quickly pulled her tail away and stared at Songpaw. "Medicine cat apprentice?" she echoed, digging her claws into the ground. She wasn't sure why she felt upset that her friend was finding his place and forced her fur to lie flat, since it was starting to prickle with embarrassment. "That's great, Songpaw!" she mewed, bouncing on her paws, leaning forward to lick his ear with forced happiness. "When do you start? Has Stormclaw talked to Swiftstar? Do you think she could ask about Pebblepaw and me getting mentors? I sure hope so! Anyways, I bet you'll be the best medicine cat ever" she squeaked everything coming out in a rush, though the last couple of words caught in her throat.}

Songpaw looked at her. He licked her ear affectionatly. "Don't worry, i will always be your friend. And that's a promise. No she hasn't talked to him yet." he whispered. Pebblepaw cae over.

_{Foxpaw's pelt burned with embarrassment as Songpaw licked her ear. "Yeah," she nodded, "Friends..." Trying not to think of all the things they'd miss out on when he became Stormclaw's apprentice, Foxpaw shook her head hard, looking at Pebblepaw as she padded over. She glanced over at him once more before bouncing back again. "Why don't we go try to catch some prey or something?" She wanted something to keep her mind off ofSongpaw becoming a medicine cat. "Let's not just sit here!" Foxpaw purred loudly.}

Songpaw gave a purr of amusement. Then he sighed. He was going to miss having a crush on her. But maybe..they could make it work. Then he came over to her and whispered in her ear: "Foxpaw..i like you..alot."

_{Foxpaw bit back a squeal of excitment, hearing Songpaw's mew in her ear, then quickly forced herself to sit still. "I really like you, too," she answered pressing her nose into his fur and then sighed, suddenly sad which was unusual for the bouncy apprentice, "but you're about to be a medicine cat, and it's against the warrior code..." Foxpaw wanted to stomp up to Starclan and ask why medicine cat's couldn't have mates. It wasn't like the cat wouldn't take care of his Clan if he had a mate. So why was it against the code, she wondered.}

"I would become a warrior, but...i may not be able to do well. I could try." he mewed thoughtfuly. Then he looked at Stormclaw and mewed: "Um, i am gonna rethink that idea of becoming your apprentice sorry. I think maybe i should be a warrior." He looked back at Foxpaw and then licked her ear. "No matter what, we will always be there for each other, even if it has to be seceret." he whispered. Pebblepaw's mind was buzzing. What was going on? she wondered.

_{Foxpaw bounced happily. "I'll help you become the best warrior ever" she promised, licking his cheek happily. She didn't care what the warrior code or Starclan said, Foxpaw thought feeling guilty but excited at the thought, she'd stay with Songpaw forever. Glancing over at Pebblepaw, she purred loudly seeing her friend's confused expression. She swatted at her ears, and then pounced on her tail. "Whatcha thinking about, Pebblepaw?"she asked, flicking her tail at her nose.}

Songpaw purred. Pebblepaw opened her eyes. "I was just thinking about what the heck is going on here!" she mewed. Songpaw gave a purr of amusement. Then he licked Foxpaw's cheek.

"Well that's fine Songpaw let me know if you decide you would like to be a medicine cat, I need to gather more herbs, perhaps you should all catch some freshkill for the elders, they might have some good stories to tell you for a nice plump mouse"

Stormclaw said, she stood up picking up the poppy head in her mouth she looked atround the rocks and then padded to the edge of the forest, she would leave these cats be to play and have fun.

^{"What do you think is going on?" Foxpaw mewed innocently, swatting at Pebblepaw's ears again. Brushing her cheek against Songpaw's, she looked over at Stormclaw leaving. "We can still come with you and help get herbs and stuff!" she offered, bouncing over to her, feeling better about helping the medicine cat now that Songpaw might not be her apprentice. Trying not to feel selfish, Foxpaw took a big sniff of the poppy seeds and set off, nose close to the ground, trying to find more for the older cat.}

Roseheart padded up to the apprentices her loyal sister Bluefrost padding after her. "Hey Foxpaw do you want to do some training?" she asked politely. She padded over to her apprentice and smiled. Roseheart sat down and waited for her apprentices answer.

Bluefrodt padded in her sister at her side. "Hey Songpaw and Pebblepaw I here you are looking for a mentor. I could mentor you both as warriors." she said in an angelic tone.

Songpaw looked up. He smiled. "Really? Thanks!" he mewed excitedly and then Pebblepaw joined his mews. They both fell silent and then grinned at the Bluefrost. Songpaw looked at her with sightless eyes. He padded over to Foxpaw and brushed up against her mewing: "I can't wait to start training! i wonder what our warrior names will be!"
