Cloudpelt had woken up early and decided to do some fishing before she went out on a patrol, she had come ot the river and sat by the saide watching for shadows of fish. she had caught two so far, but one had been too easy and it smelled of sickness so she had buried it and come back to get another couple of fish.
She caught another and had been about to try again when she heard a rustling noise not far off, she crouched and waited.

Snowmask pushed his way through the reeds, and halted at the rivers edge. Making sure his shadow wasn't casting light down on the swimming silver forms, he raised a paw and kept it frozen in the air for a couple of heartbeats. When the fish, oblivious to Snowmask, swam too close to the waiting cat, Snowmask struck out a few inches away from the fish, striking where it would be and not where it was. His claws hooked onto it's scales and he tossed it out of the water. When it hit the ground, he bent over it and bit it quickly before it could flop back into the water. When it was dead, he glanced up, realizing there was another cat. "Hello, Cloudpelt," he meowed back. [/sub]

Se realised it was just Snowmask and no one sinister who would hurt her or try hunt on thier territory, she purred in greeting and looked at his fish, it was a little bigger than her two but she didn't mind. she was a good fisher and swimmer and loved river clan life more than anything.
"How are you today Snowmask, I would be careful with your fish i caught one earlier that smealt a bit funny, i buried it"

Snowmask leaned forward and sniffed the fish carefully. Drawing the smell carefully over his scent glands, Snowmask decided it smelled fine. "We should warn the other cats about the sickness with the fish. We can't have an apprentice bringing one back to the camp and getting all the cats sick..." Glancing back at the river, Snowmask watched the fish swimming. "Twolegs probably dumped something in the water again," he muttered with a shudder, remembering how many cats got sick the last time it had happened. Picking up his fish, he looked around for where Cloudpelt had buried her stash of fish. "May I join you?" he asked, his mew muffled by the fish. [/sub]

"Yes i was going to let everyone know when i went back for patrols."
She meowed at him from where she sat, she stopped a minute her tail twitching in anticipation as she lunged for a large fish in the water and dragged it out, she dealt it a blow with her paw and it stopped flopping and was dead.
"Of course you can, its nice to have some company"
CloudPelt was a very friendly loving cat, she liked to tell stories and spend time with kits and apprentices.

Snowmask dipped his head and padded off to bury his fish away from the muddy, always shifting bank of the river. Coming back, he placed his paws into the water and risned the mud off. Once his paws were white again, he sat down away from the water, getting ready to hunt again. Instead, though, he sat back and watched Cloudpelt's silver pelt as she bent over the water. He shook out his snowy pelt and crouched next to the water, staring down at it with sky blue eyes. Instead of hunting, he watched the fish swim around, studying them quietly.

Cloupelt watcheds the river as well then looked at Snowmask she nudged him with her nose and licked his ear.
"Something wrong?"
She asked him with concern, she wondered why he was so quiet and not fishing anymore, she didint mind but she didn't want him feeling bad or maybe there was somethign wrong with him, she wanted to know if she could help.

Snowmask blinked and looked up. "I'm fine," he purred, "I was just watching the fish." Sitting up, he lashed out his paw and caught another fish, dropping it at Cloudpelt's paws. Jumping to his paws, Snowmask stretched, arching his back with a yawn. The sun was making him drowsy. He buried the fish again and looked at her, blinking cheerfully. [/sub]

~"Well thats good, i was worried"
She said to him with a swish of her tail. she looked at thier spots where the fish were buried and thought they should take them back before the patrols were sent out incase they were needed.
"Maybe we should go back and add these to the fresh kill, We might be needed for a patrol?"
She didint really want to go back yet it was so tranquil out here the air was movign and kept the scent fresh with the smell of flowers and hedges and the river water strong in her nose.

Snowmask glanced at the freshly dug pile of earth that covered the fish. "We could take these back and then come back later," he suggested, shrugging his snowy shoulders. "I could just do it myself," he glanced over at her, noticing the hesitation in her eyes,"We could always go on a patrol later." Shaking his head, Snowmask cleared his whiskers of tiny water droplets that had collected there from bending down to lap up the water. After being out in the sun so long, Snowmask was drowsy, and wished he could curl up in the warriors den or stretch out on a warm rock and take a nice little nap, but he knew he needed to make sure he wasn't needed first.

Cloudpelt didn't want ot leave him ot take back her kill as well, she didn't want to be lazy and let someone else shoulder her work, she would take her own fish back and see if she was needed for a patrol before coming back.
"No it is fine, i will come back as well, It's just nice here"
She said looking around once more before uncovering her fish picking them up in her mouth.

Snowmask amusement escaped in a purr, as he watched Cloudpelt unbury her fish. When she was finished, he moved to uncover his. Taking on last glance at the river, Snowmask tore himself away, understanding her reasons not to leave. Sniffing around the newly unearthed ground, he found his fish in less than a few hearthbeats. Digging them up, he grasped them carefully in his jaws, mouth watering at the smell emphasized by the growling of his stomach. Making sure not to crush them, he turned back to Cloudpelt. "Ready to go?" he muttered around the fish, staring down at her warmly waiting patiently. [/sub]

She gave him a nodd and trotted infront of him waving her tail a little so it flicked him on the nose teasingly, she carried on back towards the camp, it wasnt far to thier camp from the river, she crossed the stoned and found her way into the camp dropping the fish on the fresh kill pile which wasnt a bad size. She looked back for Snowmask.

Snowmask slowed his pace, watching her run ahead. He paused to catch a few thrushs, his jaws now cramped with prey. When he started back towards the camp, his ears were again pricked for anything unusual. Now at the camp, he pushed his way though the reeds and paused again, looking around at the camp enjoying the feeling of being with his Clan again. Spotting Cloudpelt, Snowmask padded over towards her nodding at his fellow Clanmates. Once he sat down his fresh kill, he looked up at her, blinking warmly. "What would you like to do now?" he asked, flicking his tail over her nose as a payback, and purred.

"I don't know i dont see any patrol groups, maybe we should go ourselves? or hunt some more?"
Cloudpelt didn't really knwo what she felt like doing but she felt like she wanted to be out doing something, being in the camp was nice but to was being away and doing things. She had alot of energy today and wanted to get rid of it.
