Duskpaw lay in the apprentices den, she was alone and shivvered a little as a chill ran down her spine. she yawned and looked out of the entrance to the den her chin on her paws. she felt alone and sort of left out. She was naturally quiet and withdrawn and was over looked by alot of cats. but she had alot to give, she was loyal and clever while being careful. she sort of just wished someone would notice her.

Gustpaw bounced into the apprentice den. He circled his nest for a few moments, humming to himself. Glancing up he noticed he wasn't alone in the small den. "Hey, Duskpaw!" he meowed cheerfully, waving his tail in a greeting. He left his spot and padded over next to her. "Why so down?" Gustpaw asked sympatheticly, licking her head gently, then settled down beside her, his eyes narrowed with concern.

"Oh Hello Gustpaw, no reason just i dont know, feeling a bit off."
She said to him, she was glads of the company and a little attention and purred at him flicking her tail a little. she wondered what he had been doing so far today but she didint say anything and just watched through the entrance to the den.

He sat down beside. "Have you been here all day? Alone?" he asked, wrapping his tail around himself. Gustpaw sometimes felt sorry for the she-cat. Other cats seemed to over look her too easily, but he had seen that she would be a good warrior one day. "Why didn't you come hunt with me earlier?"

"Well i was hoping to do some training, i have been here"
She said with a smalls hurg of her shoulders, she licked her right paw and passed it over her whispers, she looked at him her bright eyes studying him where he lay before letting her eyes drift back to the camp.
"I don't know, I didn't know you had gone and no one told me to go"
Duskpaw liked to do things as she was told to do them, but ebign so quiet she often got left out.

Gustpaw sighed and shook his head. At least she wasn't sick. "Maybe if you got out of the den more..." he teased, gently flicking his tail in her face. "You should be more... bold! Yeah, that's it. And you should do what you want. Like me!" Gustpaw jumped to his paws, grey and white first sticking out in every direction. "I can show you!" he offered, wavng his tail high in the air.

She said to him feeling a little insulted, she licked her chest fur and looked at him as he jumped up and was practically yowling to starclan.
"Show me how to be something i am not?"
Duskpaw looked at him with her dark eyes but she stood up and trotted out fo the den a ltitle further sitting on the edge of the clearing,

Gustpaw blinked, confused. He had just been trying to cheer her up. Following her out, he shook down his fur, not bothered by her outburst. "Aw, come on, Duskpaw," he mewed, nudging her shoulder, explaining his reasons "I meant well; I just wanted to get you out some more." Gustpaw knew that probably wouldn't help, but if all else failed, he could talk to another cat to take her out more. He felt bad for her always being left out. [/sup]

"I'm no use on a patrol or hunting i dont know hot to do it properly"
Duskpaw unfortunately lacked confidence, her being over cautious led to her making mistakes she wouldnt make if she just asked on her instincts but something in her head just thought things over too much.
"I'm sorry if i seem miserable or moody, but its lonely. i dont want to get in the way of anyone else"

Gustpaw shook his head, pressing his ears flat to his head for a few heartbeats. He was starting to get irritated with Duskpaw. She could really dampen his spirits sometimes. "You don't know how to do it because you're never out on one. If you went on some..." Gustpaw hinted, flicking his tail at her shoulder. [/sup]

Duskpaw could tell he was irritated and she just felt like she had failed again, even in just being around other cats she failed to do what she should do. she sighed and shook her head irritated at herself, but she couldnt help the way she was.
"It's not my fault i cant help the way i am"
She said to him defensively. she felt like crawling back inside the den and going to sleep.

Sunpaw trotted back to the apprentices den where Duskpaw and Gustpaw were sitting. She bounded up to them "Hello you two" she said, it was only then that she saw that Duskpaw seemed to be miserable and even Gustpaw wasn't as bright as usual.
