Frostbreeze padded silently onto the moorlands and looked around. The pretty white she-cat stuck out, especially here, so she had to try and hide before she found her prey. The WindClan warrior opened her jaws and scented a rabbit almost instantly. She flicked her ears, locating it to be slightly in front of her and to the right. She walked forward two steps and then burst into a run. The rabbit took off, too, and Frostbreeze chased it for a while before she finally caught up to it, pounced and killed it with a swift bite to the neck.

Mapleclaw was stalking a rabbit when a sound made it take off, not thinking about the sound she took off after it. It was slowly pulling away, in a spert of determination Mapleclaw made her legs go faster. As she went that fast she closed the distance between them, this happened in a few seconds. Taking a few bounding leaps she lept into the air and landed on it killing it quickly, but not before it let out a cry like a baby. Mapleclaw hated it when they made that sound, then she felt like a murder. She picked it up and then she thought about the sound that had startled the rabbit into running. She quickly back-tracked and found herself looking at Frostbreeze, dropping the rabbit the young warrior greeted Frostbreeze with a nod, "Hello, how are the rabbits?" she mentioned that rabbits because they had seemed to be a lower amount of them lately and it was getting dryer and hotter. Mapleclaw didn't mind the heat, she was a proud Windclan cat! And it wasn't like it didn't get hot on the moor.

Frostbreeze greeted Mapleclaw with a friendly flick of the tail and replied, "Well, there's not as many rabbits as usual, but there are enough to feed the clan, so we'll be okay." The white warrior glanced up at the sun, wishing it wouldn't beat down with so much heat. I suppose its better than a flood... Or is it? Frostbreeze wondered. The WindClan warrior shook her head to clear it, and turned back to Mapleclaw; not sure what else to say or how to start a conversation with her.

Mapleclaw smiled at Frostbreeze, "I guess.." she let that part drop, "How long have you been a warrior?" She was eager to talk about warriors, since she just became one. She had always been the apprentice with questions and even now as a warrior she was sill curious about everything that she didn't know about. She had dropped most of her disrespect and sarcasm when she realized what a nusence she had been.

"For about 20 moons," Frostbreeze answered the young warrior's question. "It's great, as you probably know," the snowy white WindClan cat said with a smile, referring to Mapleclaw's recent warrior ceremony. Frostbreeze glanced down at her paws. The moorland soil was hard, dry and caked together. Frostbreeze tried to keep the concern and growing worry off her face, in hopes that she was just imagining things.
