Lionpaw came to Sunningrocks, near RiverClan territory. She looked and saw the river. It looked pretty, she had to admit. But when it got out of control... She hopped onto a warm rock and curled on top of it, enjoying the warmth the sun gave her. It wasn't easy without her only kin, but she could hope things would get better. Lionpaw remembered what a great warrior her father had been, but she also remembered that even his strong paws couldn't save him that day. Lionpaw could almost smell their scents and feel them beside her. And she was in a good place, thank StarClan.

Swiftstar followed after Lionpaw slowly, knowing she needed a few minutes to herself. As she approached Lionpaw she silently asked starclan to give her the right words to say. Swiftstar layed down on the warm rock next to Lionpaw and gave her a gentle lick on her head. "I lost my parents in the flood also" she told Lionpaw. "When I start to feel alone without my parents and just try to remember they are in Starclan and one day i will hunt with them again"

Lionpaw nodded. "I'll try that. Thank you Swiftstar." She put her head on her paws. "It's just that, it feels like this is all I have left. Myself and my clan." She pushed her head down. "That's why I'm gonna be the best warrior ever," she mumbled.

I know you will, Lionpaw. Swiftstar touched her muzzle to the top of her head, as she turned and walked back to camp. I have two precious new kits to welcome to the clan, she thought to herself

Lionpaw watched Swiftstar leave. She should probably head back too, she thought to herself. "Hey Swiftstar, wait for me!" she called as she hopped off the rock and ran after her to camp.
